Angel Berry Cake
Ingredients
1 pkg. Angel food cake mix
1 pkg. frozen berries
2 cups whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
red food coloring
Directions
Mix one package of angel food cake mix as directed. Bake in desired cake pan, loaf or tube pan. Cool the cake upside down after baking.
While the cake is baking thaw one package of frozen berries. Once the berries have thawed, drain the berries and reserve the juice.
When the cake has cooled, remove the cake from the pan and place the cake on a plate. Take the cooled cake, cut slits in it and push in the berries that have been drained. Pour the berry juice over the berries.
Cover the cake with whipped cream that has been sweetened with 1/4 cup sugar, flavored with vanilla and colored with 6 drops of red food coloring. Chill 2 to 3 hours.
