Baked Carrots and Onions
Ingredients
1 cup medium white sauce
6 to 8 medium size carrots
6 medium size onions
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper
1 tbsp. melted butter
1/3 cup grated cheese
paprika
Directions
Prepare white sauce. Clean and slice carrots and onions. Arrange carrots and onions in alternate layers in a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper. Top with butter. Pour white sauce over all.
Cover and bake at 325 degrees F for approximately 40 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle the top with the grated cheese and paprika. Return to oven until the cheese is melted. Makes 6 servings.
