Barbecued Brisket of Beef
Ingredients
5 to 6 lb. fresh brisket of beef
1 12 oz. container of beer
1 14 oz. bottle of catsup
salt and pepper
Directions
Trim visible fat from meat. Place meat in a covered roasting pan at 300 degrees for 3 hours.
Pour off juice and fat from pan and reserve for other uses. Salt and pepper meat lightly. Combine and add catsup and beer. Cover and cook another hour.
Serve with baked or boiled potatoes and cole slaw.
