Best Ever Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk
5 tbsp. vegetable shortening
Directions
Sift the dry ingredients together. Cut in the shortening. Add the milk and mix well.
Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead for 1/2 minute. Pat to desired thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on a cookie sheet or other shallow pan.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
