Chinese Chews

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup dates, chopped
1 cup English walnuts, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract

Directions
Sift the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt together. Add dates and walnuts to the dry ingredients. Add the beaten eggs. Flavor with vanilla and almond extract. Spread 1/4 inch thick in a baking pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Cut while hot.
