Chocolate Malt Balls
Ingredients
1/3 cup cocoa
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup malted milk powder
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup chopped nuts
1-3/4 cups rolled oats, quick or old fashioned (uncooked)

Directions
Mix the cocoa, sugar and salt in a pan. Dissolve the malt powder in milk then blend into the cocoa mixture along with the corn syrup. Cook to medium soft ball stage (236 degrees) or until the syrup forms a soft ball in cold water. Stir in the butter, oats and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. When cooled slightly, form each into a ball and roll in chocolate shot. Top each with a silver dragee. Makes 3 dozen.
