Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup cocoa
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions
Sift together the dry ingredients (except the sugar).

Mix the mayonnaise with the sugar. Add the sifted dry ingredients alternately with water and vanilla to the mayonnaise mixture. Mix well. Turn the batter into a 9-inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until the cake tests done.
