Church Supper Casserole
1 8-oz. package wide noodles
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 lbs. ground beef
2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
2 tbsp. flour
1 cup dairy sour cream
2 cups cottage cheese, country style
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup chopped ripe olives
Cook noodles as directed then add butter and salt.
Brown the ground beef and drain off the fat. Add the tomato sauce and flour to the beef and simmer for 10 minutes to make the "meat mixture".
Combine the sour cream, cottage cheese, onion, green pepper, Worcestershire sauce and ripe olives to make the "cheese mixture".
Spread one half of the noodles in a casserole dish, add the cheese mixture, then the other half of the noodles. Top with the meat mixture.
Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
