1/3 cup superfine sugar
1 bottle (24 oz.) sparkling water, divided
juice of 1 orange
juice of 1 lemon
juice of 2 limes
4 strips lemon peel, for garnish
In a saucepan combine the sugar and 1/3 cup sparkling water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove this sugar syrup from the heat and allow to cool.
In a pitcher, stir together the sugar syrup and citrus juices. Fill tall glasses with ice then divide the citrus mixture among the glasses. Top with remaining sparkling water. Garnish with lemon peel strips and serve. Makes 4 servings.
