Date Pudding

Ingredients
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup dates, chopped
1/2 cup nuts
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups boiling water

Directions
Sift flour and baking powder together. Combine sugar and milk. Stir in flour mixture, raisins, dates, nuts, brown sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour into a greased baking pan. Pour water over date mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve plain or with whipped cream. Serves 6.
