Foolproof Dark Chocolate Fudge
Ingredients
3 packages (6 oz. each) semisweet chocolate pieces
1 can sweetened condensed milk
dash of salt
1/2 to 2 cups chopped nuts (as desired)
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions
In a 2 quart heavy pan, melt the chocolate pieces with the condensed milk and salt over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in the nuts and vanilla.
Spread the mixture evenly in a wax paper lined pan that is 8 or 9 inches square. Chill for 2 hours. Turn the fudge out onto a cutting board, peel off the waxed paper, and cut into squares.
Store loosely at room temperature. Makes 2 pounds.
