Fruit Cake with Icing

Ingredients
1-1/2 cups honey
2/3 cup butter
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
3 cups flour
1/2 cup nut meats
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 cup raisins
1 cup dates, citron and orange peel mixed

Directions
Mix the honey and butter together and then add the well beaten eggs. Sift the dry ingredients over the fruit and nuts and mix well. Add the dredged fruit, remaining dry ingredients and the milk alternately to the honey mixture. Transfer batter into a buttered loaf pan or other appropriate baking pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for about 2 hours.

Fruit Cake Icing

Ingredients
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. cream
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions
Beat the egg well, then add the other ingredients and mix together thoroughly. When the mixture is smooth and creamy use as icing.
