German Apple Cake

Ingredients
2 extra large eggs
1 cup salad oil
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
4 cups thinly sliced cooking apples
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Directions
Beat the eggs and salad oil together until foamy. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Transfer the cake batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes or until the cake tests done.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
2 pkg. (3 oz. each) cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions
Blend the cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar together until smooth.

Frost the cake with this frosting or serve with whipped cream. This cake is wonderful served warm.
