Ginger Ale Glazed Ham
Ingredients
1 boneless ham, 3 to 4 pounds
1 cup white wine
2-1/2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
2 tbsp. molasses
pinch cayenne pepper
2 cups ginger ale
2 tbsp. honey
Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place the ham in a roasting pan.
In a medium size saucepan, combine the wine, mustard, molasses and cayenne pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the ginger ale. Pour this glaze over the ham, coating evenly.
Bake for 1-1/2 hours. Increase the oven's temperature to 325 degrees F. Bake 1 hour more, basting the ham every 15 minutes. Brush the ham with honey and continue to bake, basting every 15 minutes, until the ham is well glazed, about 30 more minutes.
Let the ham rest outside of the oven for 20 minutes, then slice and serve. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
