Grubstake Beans

Ingredients
2 cups pink beans
1 green pepper, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
1 can (size 2-1/2) tomatoes
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions
Sort through the beans to remove any foreign material then wash the beans. Cook the beans in enough water to cover until the beans are partially tender, about 1 hour.

Add the remaining ingredients, then cook until the beans are very tender (approximately another 1 to 1-1/2 hours). Add more water as needed to prevent burning. Serves 6.
