Arizona Bean Pot

Ingredients
1 lb. pinto beans
water
2 tsp. salt
2 large onions, diced
4 cloves garlic, diced
1 can (7 oz.) green chilies, chopped
1 can (1 lb.) tomatoes
1 can (6 oz.) taco sauce
1/2 tsp. cumin seed

Directions
Sort through the beans to remove any foreign material. Soak the beans overnight in enough water to cover. Drain and rinse well. Cover the beans generously with fresh water and add salt. Simmer the beans for 1 hour.

Add the remaining ingredients to the beans and cook for 1-1/2 hours longer. For spicier beans add 2 teaspoons of chili powder. Also 2 pounds of ground beef sauteed with onion may also be added.
