Aunt Susan’s Marvelous Chocolate Candy

3 cakes of sweet German chocolate
butter
1-1/2 lbs. marshmallows, cut in halves
1 cup pecan halves

Toast pecans in butter under a broiler, stirring and watching so they do not scorch. Butter a shallow baking sheet and arrange the pecan halves over the bottom, spreading well.

Using a large pan over hot water, melt the chocolate and add 1 tablespoon butter. Blend well then add the marshmallows. The marshmallows should partially melt and be completely coated with the chocolate. Pour the chocolate mixture over the pecan halves. Work fast so that this is done before the chocolate hardens. Let stand until cold. Break into pieces.
