Buttermilk Fudge
Ingredients
3 cups sugar
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 stick (1/4 lb.) margarine
2 tbsp. white Karo syrup
1-1/2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup pecans
Directions
Combine all ingredients except the nuts in a large deep pan. Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
Beat about 15 minutes with an electric mixer, add nuts and pour into a buttered pan. Let stand until firm. Cut into squares.
