Candied Popcorn Balls

Ingredients
1/2 cup un-popped popcorn
1/4 cup peanut oil
1-1/2 cup salted peanuts
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
3 oz. fruit flavored gelatin, any flavor

Directions
Heat peanut oil in a large skillet. Add popcorn. Cover and shake gently over medium heat until all corn is popped. Turn into a large bowl. Mix in peanuts. Let stand until needed.

Bring syrup and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat and add gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Drizzle over popcorn and peanut mixture, mixing to coat well. Let cool until easy to handle. With oiled hands, shape into balls. Yield: about 18 2-1/2 inch balls.
