Chewy Caramel Bars

Ingredients
32 caramels
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup flour
3/4 cup uncooked oats
6 oz. semisweet chocolate
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup butter

Directions
Melt caramels with milk over low heat. Combine dry ingredients and cut in butter until the mixture is like coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture into a greased 13x9" pan. Bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees.

Sprinkle chocolate pieces over baked crust. Spread caramel mix over and top with crumbs. Bake for 20 additional minutes. Chill 2 hours.
