Custard Pie

4 eggs (or 2 eggs plus 4 egg yolks)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 cups milk, scalded
pie crust

Blend eggs. Add in sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extract and beat. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into pie crust, and to avoid spills add the last cup of filling just before closing oven door. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
