Fresh Fruit Candy

Ingredients
2 cups fresh cranberries
1-1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
3/4 cup orange juice
3 envelopes plain gelatin
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions
In a 2 quart pan combine the cranberries, orange peel, orange juice. Cook for approximately 15 minutes until berries pop open. Cool. Blend in a blender until smooth. Strain and discard residue. Add the gelatin and sugar then cook for 10 to 12 minutes stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Add nuts then spread in a 5x9 inch pan.

Let stand uncovered overnight. Cut into 1 inch squares and arrange in a single layer on a wire rack. Let dry uncovered overnight. Can be stored in a loosely covered container for 2 weeks. Makes about 45 pieces.
