Fresh Peach Kuchen

2 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup butter
12 fresh peach halves
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup heavy or sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix butter with dry ingredients using only 2 tbsp. of the sugar. Pat in an 8-inch square pan bottom and halfway up sides, pressing until it holds.

Arrange fresh peach halves in pan. Sprinkle with rest of sugar mixed with cinnamon. Bake 15 minutes. Then pour mixture of slightly beaten egg yolks and cream. Bake 30 minutes longer. Serves 6.
