Fruit Swirl Parfait Cake

Ingredients
1 pkg. moist yellow cake mix
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling, drained and reserve syrup
1 tbsp. lemon juice
ice cream

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Mix cake as directed on the package except decrease the water to 3/4 cup. Spread the batter evenly in the baking pan.

Mix the reserved cherry syrup and lemon juice. Drop the syrup mixture by tablespoonfuls onto the cake batter. Use a spatula or knife to cut through the batter and gently swirl the color in.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until the cake tests done.

Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before serving. Top each serving with ice cream and cherries.
