Fudge Cake Pudding

1 cup flour, sifted
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1-1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 square unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup brown sugar, well packed
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups boiling water

Sift flour, baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt together. Cream butter with 2/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and milk, stirring to blend. Add chocolate, vanilla and nuts. Turn into an 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Combine brown sugar, remaining sugar, cocoa and 1/4 tsp. salt. Sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over batter but do not stir.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Pudding will separate into cake and sauce layers.
