Heavenly Hamburger Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb. ground round
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 crushed garlic clove
1 package (8 oz.) fine noodles
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
3 oz. cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
4 green onions, chopped
8 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
Brown the meat in a large skillet, adding butter, salt, sugar and garlic. Add the sauce or paste and stir to combine the ingredients.
Cook the noodles as directed on the package. Add the cream cheese, sour cream and onions then stir gently to evenly combine all. Pour half of the noodle mixture into a casserole dish, then add half of the meat mixture. Add the rest of the noodles, then the remaining meat. Top with grated cheese.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until it bubbles.
