Jude's Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
1 to 1-1/2 lb. round steak
Garlic salt, salt and pepper (Garlic salt is optional)
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup water
1 can (8-oz.) mushrooms
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp. flour

Directions
Slice steak into 1/2 inch strips. Sprinkle with garlic salt, salt and pepper. Brown the strips in oil in a heavy skillet.

Add onion soup mix, water and the mushrooms. Heat to boiling and let simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes. Add sour cream and flour, then stir until the gravy is thick. Serve over noodles.
