Kraut
Ingredients
2 cans sauerkraut
1 lb. spareribs
1 lb. pork shoulder
wieners (optional)
1 large bay leaf
10 tbsp. barley
a few caraway seeds
a few peppercorns
Directions
Combine all ingredients and cook for 3 to 4 hours. Wieners may be added during the last half hour, just long enough to heat them. Serve with mashed potatoes, salami and rye bread.
