Mayonnaise Dressing
Ingredients
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
dash cayenne pepper
1 cup salad oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
Directions
Place egg yolk, mustard, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl. Beat well, adding oil very slowly at first and more quickly after one third of oil has been used, thinning from time to time with lemon juice or vinegar. Makes 1-1/2 cups dressing.
