Mocha Fudge Cake
1-1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup cocoa powder 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2/3 cup milk 1 tbsp. molasses 1 tbsp. butter, melted 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Topping
1 cup sugar 1/4 cup cocoa powder 2 cups strong, hot coffee
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add milk, molasses, melted butter and vanilla. Stir lightly, the mixture will be thick. Spread batter in a two quart casserole. Mix topping (you can use the same bowl) and sprinkle over the batter. Pour hot coffee over all without stirring.
Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
