Mountain Dew Cake

Ingredients
1 box orange cake mix
1 pkg. instant coconut cream pudding mix
2/3 cup cooking oil
1 bottle (10 oz.) Mountain Dew soft drink
4 eggs

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the cake and pudding mixes. Add cooking oil and Mountain Dew. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then beat for 4 minutes.

Bake in a greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan for 30 to 35 minutes. Add topping while the cake is still hot.

Can be baked in 3 layers, cooled and frosted.

Topping

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup nuts

Directions
Mix the sugar with the flour. Cook in a sauce pan with butter and pineapple until the mixture is slightly thickened. Stir in the coconut and nuts. Spread on cake while the cake is hot.
