Natural Buckwheat Cakes

Ingredients
1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1-1/2 cups buckwheat flour
2 tbsp. raw sugar
3 cups buttermilk
2 tbsp. melted butter

Directions
Sift whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together. Add buckwheat flour and raw sugar. In a separate bowl mix buttermilk with the melted butter. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the buttermilk mixture and stir until blended, leaving in the lumps. Cook like regular pancakes and serve with real maple syrup.
