Omelet
Ingredients
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp cold water
1 tbsp. butter
Directions
Beat egg whites to a peak. Beat yolks until creamy, adding salt and water before beating. Fold into whites. Melt butter, then pour in eggs and brown at low heat, turn over and brown, or brown the top in an oven.
Of course this is a very basic omelet. There are numerous things that you can fill it with and top it with. Meats, cheeses, vegetables and salsas are among the most common additions.
