Orange Loaf

Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup candied orange slices
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup hot water

Directions
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Cut the candied orange slices into small pieces and add to the flour mixture.

Cream the butter, sugar and egg together. Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Combine the orange juice and water and add to the creamed mixture alternately with the dry ingredients. Turn the batter into a greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the cake tests done.
