Pastel Pound Cake

Ingredients
1 pkg white or yellow cake mix
3 oz. pkg. any flavor fruit gelatin or Jello
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup oil
4 eggs

Directions
Combine the cake mix, gelatin (or Jello), water, oil and eggs. Beat for three minutes or until the batter is smooth and creamy. Pour the batter into a 10-inch tube pan that is lined on the bottom with waxed paper.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.

Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and cool on a wire rack.

Sprinkle the top of the cake with powdered sugar if desired. Or, blend the juice of one lemon with 1-1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar and spread over the cooled cake.
