Pineapple Surprise Cake

Ingredients
1 package banana cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple

Directions
Drain the pineapple well and reserve the juice to use in place of water for the cake, adding enough water to make the required amount of liquid called for by the directions on the package. Mix well with the cake mix.

Pour one half of the cake batter into a greased and floured 12x12-inch square cake pan. Spoon over all of the drained pineapple and then cover with the remaining cake batter.

Cover the cake batter evenly with the following topping before baking:

Topping

Ingredients
1 cup flaked coconut
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup walnuts, chopped fine

Combine the topping ingredients and cover the top of the cake batter with the mixture. Drizzle about three tablespoons of melted butter over the topping.

Bake at 350 degrees until the cake tests done, according to the package directions.
