Praline Cake
Ingredients
yellow cake mix for two 13x9x2 inch layers
1/2 cup butter
1 lb. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
Directions
Bake yellow cake mix according to the directions given, making two 13x9x2 layers.
Make the frosting by melting the butter in a skillet, then adding the sugar, flour and eggs. Cook over low heat for three minutes. Remove from heat and add the vanilla and pecans.
Spread the frosting evenly over the surface of both of the cakes and then bake an additional eight minutes at 400 degrees to set the frosting. Cut into 1-1/2 inch strips to serve.
