Raw Potato Balls

Ingredients
1/2 lb. ham
12 medium potatoes
2 medium onions
3 cloves garlic
1 egg
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup bread crumbs
marjoram
black pepper
salt

Directions
Grind ham, potatoes, onions and garlic. Add egg and mix. Add flour, bread crumbs, marjoram, salt and pepper and mix. Form into balls. Cook in salt water for 20 minutes. Make a gravy using milk, flour, salt, pepper and vinegar. Fry salt pork and onion and put over all.

Note: this is an old German recipe and it seems to be incomplete in regards to the quantities of seasonings in making the balls, the quantities to use in making the gravy and the final topping. I would suggest to experiment with it as the effort would be worthwhile.
