Strawberry and Banana Jam
1-1/2 qt. strawberries 3 ripe bananas 1 box powdered pectin 5 cups sugar
Clean berries and crush one layer at a time. Mash bananas into a fine pulp. Combine and measure 4 cups into a large pan. Stir in pectin thoroughly. Place over high heat and stir until it boils hard, stir in sugar and bring again to a hard boil and boil for 1 minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat and skim off foam. Stir and skim by turns for 5 minutes. This prevents fruit from floating. Ladle into jars. Makes about six 1/2 pints.
