Husband Catching Biscuits

Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 egg, unbeaten

Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Sift flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt and sugar into a bowl. Add the shortening and blend until the texture is like cornmeal. Add milk slowly then add the egg and stir to a stiff dough. Knead 5 times. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 1-1/2 inch biscuit cutter.

Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.
