A family cookbook with food for everyone to enjoy!

Welcome and thanks for dropping by! You will find recipes here that you can enjoy on many special occasions as well as for your regular daily meals. The majority of these recipes are quite easy to prepare using basic kitchen equipment and utensils.

This collection of recipes was started many decades ago by my Mother. Both friends and family gave her recipes that they had tried and liked, and she also found recipes from various other sources. These recipes frequently made our family meals exciting by having something new to try on a fairly regular basis.

This recipe collection was originally contained in a small wooden recipe box, which it quickly outgrew. All of the recipe cards are currently kept spread between two shoe boxes and even they are getting to be quite full.

Following in my Mother's footsteps, I continue to collect recipes from many sources, including my family and friends. New recipes are added to this ongoing collection as frequently as possible. This is my cookbook and I invite you to make it yours as well. My motto when it comes to eating is simple: I want food in my food! Yes, there are great recipes to be found here, and many of them. Enjoy!.

Using this site

All the recipes are grouped into sections, and within those sections there may be more than one category. One example is the "Side Dishes" section where there are several categories: Casseroles, Fruit Salads, Green and Mixed Salads, Salad Dressings, Soups and Vegetables.

Another good example is the very popular "Desserts" section. This is where you will find Cakes, Candy, Chocolate Cakes, Cookies, Frostings, Icing & Toppings, Other Desserts, Pie Crusts and Pies.

Let's go a bit further with this by using a specific example. You happen to be looking for a recipe for Fig Newtons. Assuming that you already know that a Fig Newton is a cookie, then you could take a good guess that it will be found in the "Desserts" Section. Once there, you will see the "Cookies" category and go into that area and find Fig Newtons in the lists. But what if you don't know what a Fig Newton is? That is where our search function at the top of each page comes in handy. You can simply type "newton", press your "Enter" key, and a page showing you where the recipe is located with a link to the recipe will appear. Easy isn't it.

Just tour around the site and you will quickly see this structure. Remember that if you cannot seem to find something, use the search located in the top of each page. Keep in mind that while I currently don't have every recipe under the sun on this site, I am certainly working toward that goal.
