Macaroni Pie

Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 qt. milk
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
butter
3 eggs
1 pkg. macaroni noodles
2 tbsp. flour
cinnamon
salt and pepper
1 onion, chopped

Directions
Cook the macaroni until it is half done and set aside. In another pan pour all of the milk except for 3/4 cup. Heat very slowly.

Brown the onion and ground beef, then season with salt, pepper and cinnamon.

Grease a large square pan. Put a layer of macaroni, a layer of beef and top with a layer of macaroni. Sprinkle with cheese and dabs of butter on each layer.

Combine 2 tablespoons flour and 3/4 cup milk and make a thin paste. Add to the heated milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Add to the beaten eggs. Pour the milk mixture over the macaroni until covered.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes. Test as for custard.
