Mud Pie
Ingredients
1/2 pkg. chocolate wafers
1/2 stick butter, melted
1 qt. coffee ice cream
1-1/2 cup fudge sauce
whipped cream
slivered almonds
Directions
Crush wafers. Mix well with melted butter. Press mixture into a 9-inch pie plate. Cover with softened coffee flavor ice cream. Place pie in freezer until the ice cream is firm. Top with with fudge sauce that has been chilled in the freezer to make it spreadable. Place pie in freezer for at least 10 hours before serving.
To serve mud pie, slice into 8 portions. Serve each portion on a dessert plate with a chilled fork. Top with whipped cream and slivered almonds.
