Pea Salad

Ingredients
1 package (16 oz.) petite frozen peas
2 tender stalks of celery, chopped
4 slices crumbled bacon
4 green onions, finely chopped
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
3 tbsp. blanched, toasted, slivered almonds (for topping)

Dressing
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp. marjoram (optional)
salt and pepper

Directions
Drain raw, thawed peas and add the celery, bacon, onions and water chestnuts. Mix the dressing and add to the pea mixture. Sprinkle top with blanched and toasted slivered almonds.

Note: Personally, I don't care to use the full amount of marjoram called for in this recipe. I have had great success by using lesser amounts and I also have eliminated it altogether on occasion.
