Pecan Snowballs

Ingredients
1 cup butter flavor shortening
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk or water
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup uncooked oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 tsp. salt
powdered sugar

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 F.

Beat the shortening, 3/4 cup of powdered sugar, milk and vanilla together until creamy. Combine and add the flour, oats, pecans and salt. Mix well. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 15 to 18 minutes or until the bottoms are a light golden brown. Roll the cookies in powdered sugar while still warm, then allow to cool completely on a wire rack. Reroll in powdered sugar. Makes about 48 cookies.
