Rice Pilaf with Herbs

Ingredients
1/4 lb. butter or margarine
4 oz. angel hair pasta, uncooked, broken into small pieces
1 can (26 oz.) chicken broth
1 cup basmati rice or other long grain rice
2 tbsp. freshly chopped thyme, sage or parsley
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Directions
Melt the butter or margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pieces of angel hair pasta and saute until the pasta just starts to brown. Carefully stir in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add the rice, herbs, salt and pepper.

Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Fluff with a fork before serving. Makes 4 servings.
