Sopa de Fideo
Ingredients
1 lb. bacon
1 small yellow onion
2 cloves garlic
1 pkg. coil vermicelli
2 cans Mexican style stewed tomatoes
4 cubes beef bouillon
salt and pepper to taste
water as needed
Directions
Chop the bacon into 1 inch pieces and fry until crisp. Save the grease.
Chop the onion and garlic then fry in the bacon grease until clear. Fry the vermicelli until it is light brown in color. Put all the ingredients into a large pot and add enough water to cover.
Simmer covered for 2 hours.
