Tamale Pie
Ingredients
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 cup cold water
1 cup boiling water
1 can sliced olives
1 can cut corn
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 large onion, chopped
2 lb. ground round
2 cans tomato sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
Directions
Mix cornmeal with cold water and salt. Add boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. When cooled a bit line a baking dish on the bottom and sides.
Cook the meat and onion in a skillet. Add tomato sauce, corn, olives and chili powder. Pour into the cornmeal lined dish and sprinkle with dry cornmeal.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
