Ingredients
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
pinch of salt
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions
Cream butter, brown sugar and egg together. Add salt, flour and vanilla then beat until thoroughly mixed. Spread evenly in a well greased 10x15-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes, or until done. Melt chocolate and spread on cookies as they come from the oven. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into 2-inch squares.
