Tomato Steak
Ingredients
3 tbsp. oil
2-1/2 lb round steak, 2 inches thick
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 carrots, finely chopped
1 can peas
2 cups canned tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions
Heat oil, add the meat and sear until the meat is brown on all sides. Arrange in a casserole dish and cover with onion, carrots, peas, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Cover tightly and bake in a slow oven for 3 hours. Gravy may be thickened if desired.
